The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of February. The Bauer Hockey NA3HL Forward of the Month is Louis Boudon of the Metro Jets. The Bauer Hockey NA3HL Defenseman of the Month is Jacob Peterson of the Texas Jr. Brahmas. The Vaughn NA3HL Goaltender of the Month is Joel De Simone from the Pittsburgh Vengeance. Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NA3HL monthly awards.
Lockport Express forward, Andrew Logar was the runner-up to the February Forward of the Month. Defenseman, Nick Grupp, was an honorable mention candidate for the February Defenseman of the Month.
Bauer Hockey NA3HL Forward of the Month: Louis Boudon, Metro Jets
Metroโs Louis Boudon paved the way for the Jets in February, leading the nominated NA3HL forwards in goals scored through the month. The 18-year-old from Grenoble, France was 20+ through the month, while grabbing 20 points, which included eleven goals and nine assists. Boudon averaged 2.5 points per game, and two game-winning goals. โLouis has a huge month and put up some big numbers. The biggest number that I liked was his +20 rating which makes him not only a threat offensively, but plays hard and responsible on both sides of the puck,โ said General Manager and Head Coach Justin Quenneville.

Bauer Hockey NA3HL Defenseman of the Month: Jacob Peterson, Texas Jr. Brahmas
Oak Creek, WI native Jacob Peterson made his performance known at the blue line in February. The 19-year-old defenseman grabbed 10 points in nine games played, averaging 1.11 points per game. Peterson scored five goals, which included two game-winning goals and two power play goals. Peterson also added five assists while remaining +13 for the Brahmas in February. โPeterson has been consistent all year. His 10 points (5G, 5A) in nine games as a defenseman proved to be his strongest month of the season. His confidence is not able to be outmatched,โ said Head Coach Michael Hill.

Vaughn Hockey Goaltender of the Month: Joel De Simone, Pittsburgh Vengeance
18-year-old Joel De Simone from Noville, Switzerland led the NA3HL nominated goaltenders with two shutouts in the month of February, while posting a .975 SV% for the month. The goaltender held a 0.60 GAA, making 118 saves on 121 shots against (24.2 shots faced per game average) through four wins in February. โDe Simone is a great competitor who takes pride in his craft. He is always working hard to improve,โ said General Manager and Head Coach David Dorsey.
